  1. NRA life member here Skipper!

  2. Good for you, Skipper!

Keep in mind that “Gun Control” also means “being able to hit your target”. machinegun

  3. Life member here too. Oddly enough, if you check the post on Babs Streisand below you’ll see that a ticket to listen to that beeyatch costs the same as Life Membership in the NRA.

Tough choice: (1) go listen to babs or (2) join the NRA for life. Bwah-hah-ha-ha-ha ...

  4. You know what - whether you are a darwinian or biblical - everything begats eating other things. You can’t live without a food source. And peta et al be damn - this is a free country and we should be able to eat what we want.

Besides turkeys are dumb and mean - that is why they are low on the food chain.

Having said that, I support peta on factory farms (nastiness multiplied) and owe them for their expose on premarin - wouldn’t use that ever.

Just like all activist groups, they can’t stay focused and go way out way too often. Tangents don’t make for encouraging large numbers of people to listen to what you have to say. Even when what you are saying is good.

  5. I too am already an NRA member. But I will be firing up the grill tonight to cook some varmits and I will curse Peta when I turn the meat over. And I did just buy a rifle (AK-47) and I do check out Ted’s website every so often.

  6. Been a NRA Life Member for a while now.  I always thought the language of the 2nd Amendment was pretty plain.  Besides, you can enumerate all the rights you want, but if you don’t have the right of self defense AND the means to carry that out, you have no rights at all.  Therefore, I am a strong advocate of gun control, I always use both hands.

For any lefties out there who don’t like the conservative argument, I’ll quote the late Chairman Mao Tse Tung of the People’s Republic of China; “Political power grows from the barrel of a gun.” Any questions?

Oh yes, I had a Peta member ask me how I could eat meat with all the “cruelty” etc., my response was “medium rare”.  My ancesters took a long time climbing the food chain and I like it up here.

  7. Dr. Jeff,

You’re statement “My ancestors took a long time climbing the food chain and I like it up here.” just got entered into my personal “words of wisdom” file. With attribution, of course.

Lifetime NRA member here also. Don’t hunt. Love to target shoot and reload, though.

Would probably consider going on a PETA hunt, should one ever be organized (humour alert for humour-impaired asshats). But I’ll be damned if I’ll clean one.

O/T:  Speaking of asshat - anybody else see that the Little Green Footballs blog got Wikpedia credit for coining that term? Cool...I wonder who coined the term “fucktard”?

    So many mysteries in life....

  8. On again/off again NRA membership for me. I join for a couple years, then get mad at them for hassling me constantly for donations, then quit. It takes about 2 years for the mail to slacken, then I join again. I’ve been doing this cycle for a couple decades now.

For the two or three readers here without guns, here’s a couple links to the original turkey blasting game sites. Yeah, they call them Moor Huhns, but what do furreners now anyhow? Lotsa turkeys, lotsa ammo. Have at em!

  9. Thank you and you’re welcome Mr. Tensor.
