  2. What, you mean Navy planes use the same fuel as Air Force planes? And the same tanker can feed the Brits?

    Haven’t these guys learned anything from the US gasoline industry and each state and county having it’s special seasonal mix? There should be 400 different kinds of avgas! Winter blend, summer blend, cloudy day blend! Just think about the pollution at 45,000 feet! And the CO2 and the high altitude glowbull warming and the ozone! Waaaaaaaaaaaa!

That’s a KC-135(R)model.  That plane can fly 1000 miles, off load 100,000 pounds of fuel and fly 1000 miles back home.  It was designed in the 1950’s and is one of the most reliable and safest aircraft in the Air Force inventory.  I’ve spent 20 years of my life maintaining those things and have flown all over Europe and the Middle East on them.  Kuso is right about hauling retirees around for free.
