  1. I am extremely enlightened to see pictures like this around the net. It makes me feel better, and i know these thing go under reported in the news and in the blogosphere in general…

I’m going to post this pic and a link to this post on my site (even though i get no traffic!) because thats as much as i can do.

    Thanks again for posting this!!

  2. If pictures like this were in the msm, if the fact that the Kurdish North has been virturally strife free for most of OIF, if the fact that 14 provinces out of 18 are under control and not hotbeds of insurgency, and if the fact that the Sunni triangle (where the major insurgency is now located) was the seat of the Saddam Regime (can we say revenge/retribution anyone)- I bet that the ‘polls’ on OIF would reverse within days. But of course the msm and lunatic left don’t want that.

I can’t fathom why the Veterans groups (oh forgive me, they want their funds voted for), Families (oh forgive me, they don’t want to be political) and the rational among us (oh forgive me, what is the use) don’t speak up.

    Same old, same old.

  3. Hey skipper - where’d you get that picture? I am part of the ScreamingEaglesInIraq group and that is one of soldiers - would love to post the link so that if someone from his family is part of the site they could see their soldier.

  4. Indeed a heart-warming image. But then, I never kew that there were “rednecks” over there in Iraq. Git ‘r’ done!  Maybe someday he’ll be known as Alari the Cable Guy

Just to (mis)use one of Nancy Reagan’s maxims: Just say NO to CRACK… LOL

  5. Speaking of Kurdistan, have y’all seen “The Other Iraq” adverts on TV?

    Link here:  http://www.theotheriraq.com/

They do seem to be deeply grateful for our efforts.

  6. I saw them the day they came out - my son was working for the CPA over there in 2003 - they were posted in the northern area although he worked on the Syrian border. He had great things to say about the Iraqis and the Kurds. Of course there are bad in any and all ‘groups’ but that is what democracy, freedom and rational thought is about - judging a group by their leaders, their goals and their actions - not by one or two members or one specific area.

If you look at specific crime stats here in the US - certain areas are worse than Iraq. It does not mean we are in a civil war, that terrorists were encouraged to be here because of Bush/his policies, or certainly not that America must be overthrown and a new system installed. Problems do not denote failure, unless problems are the entire system. Doubt that the ‘millions’ who are fleeing to the US are doing it because it is such a corupt, evil, racist, crime ridden society. That figure alone indicates that America is still the beacon to freedom, possibilities and a future than most of the other countries of the world. Certain areas suffer and must be taken care of.

The same holds true in Iraq. And if the msm and liberal dems would stfu and let our troops do their jobs - Iraq would be much farther down the road than they are now. And tragically, I think that is why the lunatic left and lib dems do it - they do not want Bush to be successful so that they can continue on their Vietnam/Watergate/Impeachment redo. Sad that they want America to fail just so that they can fail. Different war, different President and completely different situation. Failure must never be an option - not for America. Ever
