4. Congrats, Gents! You win the prize (whatever it is). I stumbled across this old photo of the Apollo I team at the NASA web site and I couldn’t help but recall tha tragedy. I was a Senior in high school and we were devastated. Some members of my class started the rumor that the Russkis sabotaged the first Apollo mission. Most of us were just saddened and were afraid that President Kennedy’s promise to put a man on the moon by the end of the decade would never come true and the Commies would kick out butt in space.

   Then in the Summer of 1969 that all changed ...

5. But, we should have given up! I mean, really, it was HARD to overcome the technical challenges and the deep GRIEF. Why, counselors should have been dispatched NATIONWIDE, we should have have tried to understand, if the Russians did it, why they hated us so much. And, need I mention it, the same people who killed JFK (no, the first JFK) and covered it up were still largely in power! The Bush Crime Family was already in Congress laying the groundwork for the Evil Chimpy McBushitlerburton to come to power. COINCIDENCE? I think not.
