  2. I love the A-10, when I used to do live fire at the NTC, we would get to see these things make a run in, and it was unbelievable.

    THey would fly in, fire their guns, look like they stopped in midair, then punch it and they would be gone.

    Unreal, absolutely unreal!!

These bad boys are awesome.  As a kid, the CT A.N.G. used to fly a formation of a couple of these over our town’s Memorial Day parade.  We lived a couple of miles from the end of the parade route and on a perfectly quiet, peaceful day, they show up out of nowhere and do a low ( seemed like 100 ft AGL ) pylon turn around our house and put the throttles forward.  I literally dove onto the floor because I thought they were flying right into us.  Luckily my underpants were finesmile ( Shock and awe without the munitions! )

  5. Not bad for 70’s technology that was supposed to be phased out long ago, eh? These bad boys proved so effective the operational lifespan was extended to at least 2028!!!
