  1. We have women fighter pilots? Ok ... fine. Do they get to fight or are they limited to ferry duties? Are they all blondes too? (dreaming of aerial maneuvers)

  2. I helped analyse how the Marines train Harrier (AV-8b) pilots. Most of the students were men, but there was one woman, a major. She was quite a tough cookie (said with all respect), and she was NOT learning to ferry those bad boys.

  3. One of them was a POW during Operation Desert Storm. >One of the women, Maj. Rhonda Cornum, later told a presidential commission on women in the military that she was sexually abused. Cornum, a flight surgeon, was captured when her Army helicopter crashed. She suffered two broken arms and was shot in the right shoulder.< While I admit that this particular article is negatively slanted against women in the military, I am still out on the decision as to women in the military - but a lot can do the jobs asked of them, like my daughter. If you’ve got the brains, the physical ability and the desire - who gives a hoot what sex you are? Oh yeah, the muslims, the christian fundamentalists, the mormans, the neo nazis and so on and so on and so on. . .
