  4. It all looks bloody good to me.  We are supposed to break a hundred here tomorrow, with the usual Southeastern humidity (i.e., Turkish bath).

Someone tell Gore to shut his mouth, and drop the temperature a few degrees worldwide.

    LOL

  7. Crap! Just crap!
I’m in my mid forties now and I was framing a little pool house in December/January in
-10deg F. Past two weeks I’ve been pouring pond liner concrete in high 90’s and low 100’s in eastern Colorado. I’ll take the heat over the cold any day. Plain and simple, it is near immpossible to bang nails with four layers of clothes on, and insulated Carhart overalls, and still have condensate from your breath freezing solid to your beard. Don’t get me wrong, this heat has been a pure screaming bitch. In the summer I wear carpenters overalls and a long sleeve work shirt, Dickey’s or WearGuard. Good quality, heavy cloth, working mans shirts. Sunday morning I’m getting ready to take a shower, I’m looking in the mirror, and I’ve got tan lines on my shoulders and back from my overall straps. The damn sun has been so intense that I’m getting tan lines through my work shirt. That is a hot intense sun. But my joints work better in the heat, not to mention that after work bear tastes OH SO GOOD on hot days like this! You can keep that damn cold Skipper.

  9. It was so hot here yesterday the birds were flying only 6 feet at a time to save their strength.  Temperature 98˚ and a dew point of 78!!!!  Hell on Earth or at least New Orleans in Wisconsin.  At least today its cooled off and dried out some and tomorrow they’ve promised to fix my central air!!! (Oh please God, please!)
    bowdown

BTW that’s a real nice trail in the autumn to hike or bike as well.

  10. The Humidity is what gets me.. the heat in Colorado and Florida is quite different, although I remember from my trips out there in August a few years ago that it wasn’t that hot temperature wise.. maybe 80’s if that.. but felt like 45-60 would feel here..
