I agree it looks like fun. I too would much rather do that than a cruise ship.
A couple of years ago I sold my 1979 Vagabond 47’ ketch after living aboard for a few years in Seattle. And I am missing it a little.
All of my cruises were in the U.S. Navy. They were cheap and I wouldn’t trade the experience for a mllion dollars. But, this looks like Heaven (couldn’t say that on the KOS) and I’ll end up tring it ONE day. Have a nice day Skipper.
I did a similar “working” cruise back in March of 1967 (spring break) when I was 18. Sailed out of Charleston SC, down the coast to Ft Lauderdale, overnite there, then off for a very smooth sail through the Bahamas, first stop was overnite at Bimini, then on to Nassau for a few days, then back up the coast (and the Gulf Stream was at its best (worst), all the way to Cape Cod. Shoulda been called the Gulf Scream, and was totally unlike the eastbound “millpond” crossing. Even our 90 footer motorsailer got tossed around like a cork by 30 foot+ waves, and even the grizzled sea-hardened Ceptain was chundering over the railing. But then I wouldn’t have missed that for the world…
