  1. I would rather entitle this photo: “Patrolling the Rio Grande”.  “Si se puede? - yo tambien, mojado!!!”

  3. Hold on to your hat, Wardmama. There’s plenty more pics where that came from smile

It’s just a matter of finding them. Lucky for us, there’s plenty of personal soldiers’ blogs out there that post them in spite of the mainstream media’s unwritten censorship of positive military images.

  4. That gun mount looks a bit suspect.

  5. True, that’s not your typical M-60 machinegun mount. Probably something that was cobbled up in a moment of need.  That long “dangly” belt of ammo, too, would hinder any rapid turning and fast aiming, the usual approach is to have the ammo box miounted to the side of the weapon, or at least have a gunner’s assistant handfeeding the ammo belt.

Like stated earlier, this should be the proper course of action along the Rio Grande.

  6. Wow, way cool, a camoflauged personal flotation device!!!

  7. Yeah I know, I got a number of my son - too bad that so much of the media is against the military and so negative of OIF. There are a lot of awesome, touching, funny (my son said he’d have to kill me, if I ever showed the one of him on a donkey) and just plain kool.

Can’t let the mainstream media get hold of this picture - they’d use it to prove how inadequate, poorly supply, poorly trained, poorly fed our troops are. Instead of how great they look and resourceful they are at adapting to complete the mission.

Hey I just remembered this - it isn’t our guys and gals in Iraq (or Afghanistan) it is the troops (American and mostly others) in Kosovo [Home by Christmas, Mr. Clinton—oh yeah, we just forgot to ask WHICH Christmas]:

  8. Wow, Wardmama. I didn’t know our boys were still in Kosovo. I guess I’m not “supposed” to know since our Big Brother the MSM doesn’t cover it. The hypocrisy of the left amazes me every single day!

On the bright side, that video cracked me up to no end!  good_one

It’s good to know that GIs can still perservere through any amount of BS.

    cool grin
