Three little pigs ‘could offend builders, Muslims’ (DUH award for the year this early in ‘08?)

 

This whole damn thing is shtupid and I am offended re. the slur on cowboys.  So there. Now, who the hell do I sue?

2. Next thing you know they’ll be offended by the precious childhood stories of Uncle Remus and Little Black Sambo, because the characters are black and sometimes talk funny.

3. We had them here too. One of the earliest PC fatalities, along with those little “lawn jockey” statues folks used to have. Funny how nobody ever looked into young Mr. Sambo and found out that he was from India. C’mon ... tigers, pointy shoes, umbrellas when it isn’t raining, brass pots, ghee ... obviously India. Nope, he had dark skin therefore he was a black child therefore it was racist.

5. Funny how three little pigs is taken up a cause celebre by people wishing to ingratiate themselves with muslims but no one ever worried that it might be offensive to Jewish people.  Maybe the difference is that Jewish people have a sense of humour but muslims by and large don’t.

6. Well no, I’m not actually old enough to remember “Tain’t funny McGee"… but I do anyway. And yeah, I think we’re about to see the “I’m offended” lawsuit avalanche come crashing out of Fibber McGee’s closet.
   Maybe if it happens, the dumbasses who thought up the “It’s a crime to hurt my feelings” con game will learn something from it.

   Probably not though, they’ll just use it to sharpen their technique.
