Oh for Christ’s sake. Take pictures of the area and the prints, excavate a few and put them in a museum, and call it done. Protecting the entire area because of some fossilized footprints from 165 million years ago is madness.
My thoughts exactly. I was going to suggest a bit of funding to dig up 100 yards around, just to check for more, then chip out the prints and take them away. Rather silly to preserve them en situ. I figure that pretty much no matter where you are, dinosaurs walked there once. It’s nothing special. And it’s not a “resource” either.
Bite your tongues gentlemen. Whoever that dinosaur was, he has rights ya know.
This being England and all.
PS: The area they were found in, is a well known place for prehistoric fossils and bones etc. Not many ppl live in Dorset, lots downs, woods, generally a beautiful area.
So thats what Gypsy footprints look like after millions of years of Travelling,Intresting!
Also—that’s a Meat-o-Saur footprint. The carnivorous ones have a footprint like a chicken. Interesting, huh?
