This is how I view the Obama “Administration”

  1. No, seriously, you didn’t.

    Did you?

    OMG, you did.

Heavens to furballs, look up “racist” in the dictionary and there’s “Birth of a Nation” staring back at you. This was (D) Woodrow Wilson’s favorite film, the impetus he used to resegregate the Army. Shit, tres-famous noir filmmaker guy Ken Jacobs was going to play this for it’s artistic merits in my film class when I was an undergraduate, and it sparked a campus wide protest - and not one of the students had ever seen the film!

So, as I sit and wonder how this is going to damage us in the long term, I’ll let you draw the parallels between 100+ year old film and our current legislation group (or lack thereof, what with Lord Obama and all his Executive Orders) if you so wish. Because I really do want to hear your reasoning.

Now, before you go and react that “Drew is freaking out over some stupid old film”, even one that mostly deserves it’s reputation as one of the most evil bits to ever get recorded on the cellulose, I CAN see exactly why such a parallel can be made and how it applies fully, from Griffith’s scenes of smelly feet and clownish clothing through “anti-dissing” legislation to Pigford 2 to Swipe Yo EBT to Detroilet.  But I’ll let you talk your own way out of this.

  2. This is NOT a college class. Obama is acting exactly this way. He ignores things like the Consitution. Remember that? No? Just a document penned by white slave-owners. If you really want, I’ll write a short essay. Not racist… guess truth hurts!

  3. BTW, I do think ‘Birth of a Nation’ should be shown at college. Don’t protest! That’s like abolishing ‘Huck Finn’ from the library. That’s how things were. Offended? Seek psychiatric counseling.

  4. Guess I’m a racist too because the people in that film seem to be doing a better job than Obammy’s gubmint.  Yeah the movie was horribly racist, but so is Obama and all the progressive Democrats are right there with him.  The movie is bad, but it makes a point.
Birth of a nation was real, raw, jim crow, lynching, racism.  Not the phony, made up, entitlement bullshit racism we get thrown in our faces daily by Jessa Jassun and all the other race baiting rat bastards out there.  I bet if you ran Birth of a Nation on CSPAN all day long no one would know the difference.

  5. Of course ‘they’ would notice grayjohn. It’s in B&W.

  6. "Birth of A Nation” is probably on every Demo☭rat’s must-view-again-and-again list.

  7. Christopher, I’m betting they have a colorized, digitally enhanced version somewhere.  Like in the media room at the DNC headquarters.
