2. No idea on the shape of the anchor ports. Abd she *does* mount a cost effective means to deliver a shore bombardment. They’re called Marines. The “dock” part of the name refers to a full complement of helicopters and assault craft for that battalion.

3. I like.  Just one of those things a bad guy does not want to see off his coast in the morning.  I also like the DDG’s and their cruiser big sisters.  Pound for pound, a whole lot of nasty.

4. Cost effective GOF, but less risk effective. I’d rather waste shells than put our guys at risk. Send them in later when everything is already blown up.
