  1. OK, let’s get it over with.  WMD and quagmire. DONE!  It truly frustrates and baffles me why those who faithfully protest against practically ANY U.S. military efforts to “right” some (far from ALL) wrongs in this screwed-up world can virtually ignore the many human rights abuses such as Darfur, Iraq for the past 40 years, the mistreatment of half the adult population in most Islamic countries (most notably our dear “friends”, the Saudis), N. Korea, blah, blah, blah. Flaming hypocrites all.

  2. I don’t pay much attention to the moonbat whining- If you can’t see the forces of evil at work in that area of the world you are a bunch of idiots.

Saddam, woodchipers, rape rooms and chem weapons are bad, the USA = good.

Posted by gdonovan    United States   03/18/2006  at  12:29 PM

  3. If you don’t finish what you start, it makes you a quitter.  The majority of Americans are not quitters.  Let’s finish what we started.  The next time we “start” something else major (like Iran), let’s make sure we have the fortitude to finish that job as well.  And anything else we take on as a country.

Besides, these same politicians who say we should have had a war started, finished, a government in place, and all problems fixed in 6 months are the same politicians who have had years to address issues like social security, national debt reduction, medicare, etc, but haven’t done squat except bitch about it.  Now THAT’S a quagmire.

  4. #4. Yes and 8 months into his administration we were attacked. Sort of threw the whole sheebang astray. I agree, he should have vetoed every spending measure put in front of him - but then he probably wouldn’t have gotten even an iota of co-operation from the jokers in Congress. Look how they turned on him (after approving Clinton’s allowing China to take over ports in CA) - oh yeah it’s muslims, oh yeah they’re the enemy [and like Chinas our friend and ally]. Right now, all of them except President Bush are lying cheats who don’t give a damn about the US, just about getting re-elected and that has to stop.

I just don’t know how we get through to these idiots that it is the US we are concerned about and that they need to work for, not their re-elections. Right now I’m worried. But then it is the msm reporting all this turmoil and perhaps they are just slanting it to get everyone to vote Dem and I won’t do that AGAIN.

I agree #3 - Iraq is a war, winding it’s way down to a conclusion.
The SS, nat. debt reduction, medicare, etc are stagnant wastes of money and resources that need to be fixed and aren’t - throwing good money after bad, doesn’t fix anything. That is a quagmire.

  5. George really doesn’t control the purse strings.  That job belongs to congress.  They don’t have the balls to do what needs to be done.  True, George has never vetoed anything.  Personally, I think there needs to be a couple of changes made.  They will never happen, but one can always wish for it.  1) Line item veto.  Permanent.  2) Bills can not have limitless riders attached to them.  I think 3 ought to be enough.  Oh, and the line item veto allows the prez to veto riders.  Beyond that, each new item requires a new bill.  Maybe the important things will get done and other 95% of the crap will be flushed.  3) The sum total of all spending bills must be equal to or less than the total of all revenues.  The first bill that overspends the budget is dead in committee.

Like I said, it will never happen.  Congressional fiscal responsibility....quagmire at it’s finest.

How about the illegal immigration quagmire?  George is complicit in that one for sure.

Posted by John C    United States   03/18/2006  at  04:32 PM

  6. Yeah I agree, and I can’t figure out why no one wants to stop all the illegals - especially now after 9/11. It’s like DUH?!?! what problem do you have with this issue. And I do not like that President Bush has not vetoed any of the crazy spending bills and has not drawn a line in the sand on immigration as he has with terrorists. They have been his administrations biggest failings.

I agree with your ideas on spending - what these idiots are not registering is that if they would stop attaching these ‘earmarks’ ‘pork projects’ or whatever euphemism they chose to call it - we probably would be closer to reduction of the debt. But then they can’t HIDE their COLAs in agricultural bills or have to admit to the voters that their crap extras are what is pushing the damn debt so high. Also add - if you aren’t for us [an ally] you will get humanitarian food, maybe extra meds we have leftover and water - of course assistance in a major disaster - but the $$$$$$$$$$$s stop flowing. And no, that isn’t unfair - they have a choice to support us and get financial aid or to be against us and it stops. I think any money going to Mexico should be reduced by the billions their illegals are sucking out of our systems [health, education and criminal justice] - maybe then they will stop encouraging them to come over here (illegally) and then send those welfare checks back to Mexico.

  7. Normally at this time I’d give you the update of what happened at the Chicago freakazoid rally-but I have a job now and WORK on Saturdays. At least my manager is a republican(albeit a gun grabbing one).
I wish I could have done “wolverines"-the protest warrior counter protest-this year but I was there in ‘04 and ‘05.
    GIVE ‘EM HELL GUYS!!!

  8. I see only one explanation for the protests in America.  Our schools have failed,
and half of our people are ignorant.

  9. LOL !!

Posted by Officer Pupp    United States   03/19/2006  at  11:07 AM

  10. "The war is illegal under international law” said Takeshiko Tsukushi (original post)
I’d like to know when we agreed to such law.  Please guide me.
We should never need anyone’s permission to do what’s right for America.  mad

Posted by Officer Pupp    United States   03/19/2006  at  12:41 PM

  11. See? More moonbats.

    1) Our troops are grown adults who joined the service full well knowing they could be called into harms way and be killed. Don’t like it? To damn bad, it’s the way things are and I’m glad we have men and women who answer the call when needed.

Freedom isn’t free, there is always the price to be paid and usually in blood.

    2) All Saddam had to do was comply with the truce he agreed on. He didn’t, Clinton let him off the hook, now were there getting the job done.

Posted by gdonovan    United States   03/19/2006  at  01:18 PM

  12. Not only that, but as our forefathers did for us, we must do for our grand children.
Our freedom did not come cheap.  It’s worth preserving.

Posted by Officer Pupp    United States   03/19/2006  at  02:01 PM

  13. Still having trouble seeing as a good thing a new Shia-dominated Iraqi regime which is a) obeying Sharia Law, b) whose spiritual leader says amongst many other subtle and tasty quotes that homosexuals should be ‘killed in the worst way possible’ and c) is happily fucking over the Kurds - you know, the only Iraqis who actually fought on the Coalition’s side? Oh but wait, that’s never happened before - ooopsy, yes it has, in Afghanistan where the Northern Alliance shed their blood for us and have now been sidelined in favour of ex-Taliban apologists.

We’re doing what the West does best - winning the war and then throwing away the peace.

Posted by gdonovan    United States   03/20/2006  at  06:29 PM

  19. *You* were the one who asked the question “how many died” in Iraq, don’t avoid the question.

BTW there is no civil war in Iraq, you need to stop getting all your info from the MSM.

  26. And because we live in the USA you have the right to do that.

Try moving to a less “enlightened” country and see how long they put up with your childish antics.

  27. LOL!

Who said I wanted to change you? are you getting senile?

I clearly stated it was your right here in the US and made no mention of changing you.
