Actually I seem to recall that everyone else threw my name in for me.
Not sure how you could link in these “tweets”. If you could figure out how to live link a post here to your twitter page, so that updates to the one were shadowed here at the other, then that would work.
I haven’t even looked at this Twitter thing. I’m not sure I want to be that plugged in to anything. The TV ads for the thing are almost scary, showing a bunch of young folks forever twitting away, and all their friends know where they are, what they’re doing, what they’re thinking 24 hours a day. I’m not part of the hivemind, thanks anyway.
Maybe if I actually follow someone on Twitter I’ll get it. I signed up a while back as Pal2Pal, but then couldn’t figure out why. It seems kind of dumb to me, but so many seem so enamored of Twittering/Tweeting, I figure there is something I’m not getting. How do you ever find anyone without already knowing their Twitter name? And if I know them well enough to know their Twitter name, then why not just open an IM, rather than broadcasting around the world. I guess what I’m really asking is, what is the point of it all?
Thanks Mr. C. I followed your suggestions and I’m seeing the possibilities now. I notice that many people insert links, but mostly using tinyurl. Is that required or will any html link work?
Good Morning. Thanks very much for suggesting Tweetdeck. I started the download and then fell asleep, so I’m just now going to start to play around with it, but I can see why you like it already. Also, after following your suggestions and added a number of follows us, I woke up to find 7 of my own, so I think I’m now getting it. Since I blog more in the way you describe your own, short comments to other’s stories, I’m thinking I need to find my own Drew/Skipper style blogger to pick up my slack, since I’m twittering under Pal2Pal.
Thanks again.
