  1. Hate to break it to you, Villmar… But that’s a Russian Hind Helicopter.

Unless there are Polish, Bulgarian or some other former Com Blok troops working with us in Afghanistan. I could be wrong, but I think you made a (Very cool looking) Faux-pas.

  2. I saw that pic last year.  Seems some GIs got (very) creative and did a really nice job on the Hind helicopter.  If I remeber the story, it seems some General saw it and made them paint it back to specs.

  4. Yea,yea Soviet made aircraft, non-reg paint job, yada, yada, yada…

Still a great idea. Might even make me wet my BVD’s if it was after me and I don’t eat camel dung sandwhichs for lunch.

  6. That’s a Hungarian Hind, painted for an airshow.  I was given a poster of it last year by a member of the unit that flys it.  The Hungarians are very proud of their pretty bird.

  7. Great paint job. You’ve got to hand it to those Hungarians, first goulash, and now this.

  9. God knows we sabotaged enough of them ;) Guess we can repair em too.

(When russians pulled out we sabotaged a crapload of their equipment, they left it behind.)
