The worst cold snap for 20 years. Lawns and Bambi die in cold.

  1. I can’t say the deer are starving here, though they continue to get hit by cars. We’ve had snow on the ground for several weeks now, which is very unusual in NJ. I’m sure the deer can nibble bark or dig through the white stuff to find something to chew on.

  2. Isn’t that AGW a terrible thing?

  3. And, what OCM said...If that was happening here, Fish and Game would be air dropping hay bales and such.

  4. I know what to do. Call out the BBQ squad and make a national day of Yum Yum out of this tragedy. Venison,Yummy!!

  5. The deer starving is quite interesting for another reason and I have only just thought about it. Too tired yesterday when posting to dig on the subject.
In actual fact, Brits for the most part are animal crazy. They have a national soft spot for most critters.  Blake makes a good point re. air drops.  I don’t know (yet) where to check to find out if they have done that yet or if they have the resources. ?? But it really does seem odd. Very odd.
