Ah but back in 87 2/3 of the trees were lost in southern england, all in different directions but back then we did not have tornados, only in the colonies! and 4 years later I was living on a ship in Falmouth Cornwall and we had 110 MPH winds and lost power in all of Cornwall for near a week! Now in Ontario people get scared at 70kph winds?????

I’m waiting for that self-righteous biddy to come out like she did last time and say how wonderful things are, what with the UK’s underground power wires and the ever-capable tree cutting power of the highway department. Oh wait, she said that when she was over here and some massive hurricane knocked out power to the North East and she was without a hair dryer for a few days.
