  7. #4: Yes, we had cars .... and large guns too.

#5: It has been a losing battle too.

#6: Barb, go to Kinkos. They’ll scan it for free. Take a floppy disk to store it on.

#8: Yesiree, Ma’am. All the really cool cats wore those sandals. And the really buff guys wore no shirt as you can plainly see.

  9. It must be history week at the good ole BMEWS,

I love to hear old farts tell thier stories. Each time I hear them they either come up with new words or thier stories get more and more fairy tale like. Like my grandpa tells me that he used to run to and from school that was 5 miles away jumping over 5ft fences and going up hill both ways. Each time he tells me the distance gets longer and the fences get higher. Oh yeah along with the depth of the snow. And going up hill both ways.

Btw,Allan, what is a Rattletrap Jalopy?

  10. A.S.-My son-who’ll be 11 April Fools Day(REALLY)-has issues with the fact that we have dial-up, a sucky computer, and no cable-unlike his Dad who he lives with-2 blocks away.

I tell him that 1n 1981 when I was 11 we didn’t HAVE cable or a microwave, or a computer or VCR-I was 13 before we got ANY of that. Our first computer was one of those Texas Instruments with the cartridges. Remember those?
    We DID play outside though.
When he complains I fire back"well if you’re bored pretend you’re a child of the early ‘80’s and like, you know-go out and play.”

I tell ya-these kids nowaday’s have been so spoiled by all these modern conveniences.
    *bangs cane on floor*
