  1. Outstanding Drew. I’m probably going to steal this tomorrow. I’ll just cut and paste for your direct credit. Guest commentator or some such attribution.

  2. So I didn’t steal it, I linked it. Maybe get you even more traffic.

  3. I’m a patient man.  Despite having serious philosophic problems with Obama and his supporters, I’ve taken a wait and see approach.  I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to have to wait for something good to happen.

    I love the part

according to the Congressional Budget Office will do worse to our overall economy than no government action whatsoever.

One little sentence summarizes the entire problem with Obama and company.  One little sentence summarizes the blindness of his followers.

Even if you’re not a conservative, or Ann Coulter (xoxoxo), or Rush Limbaugh, even the Congressional Budget Office says the bailout will be destructive to the U.S. economy.  I believe practical reality should trump political doctrine.  How come the liberals won’t?

The stimulus plan is now two for two.  Wall Street pooped in their Post Toasties when the bill passed the Senate.  The Congressional Budget Office says it will hurt the U.S. economy, is anyone besides the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy paying attention?

Now, this little bit from Ann Coulter’s column tickled my fancy too.

The 1996 Welfare Reform bill marked the first time any government entitlement had ever been rolled back. Despite liberal howling and foot-stomping, not subsidizing illegitimacy led, like night into day, to less illegitimacy.

Welfare recipients got jobs, as the hard-core unemployables were coaxed away from their TV sets and into the workforce. For the first time in decades, the ever-increasing illegitimacy rate stopped spiraling upward.

It passed during Bill Clinton’s watch.  In time, he tried to take credit for it (I’m taking Ann’s word on this, I feel safe) because is was a success.

The stimulus package creates more entitlements and adds more people to the government agencies handing out the entitlements.  It undoes a chunk of the 1996 Welfare Reform bill.  So, the stimulus package is an economic disaster and it creates even more destructive welfare dependency.  What a loser.  Pardon me while I vomit in the corner.
