Sorry Vilmar, I like some of Jackson Browne’s less political stuff. He’s extremely talented and sometimes I can lose myself in his songs. Ditto for Crosby, Stills,& Nash. I’m a singer as well, and I value musicality and creativity above all.
If I was to eliminate every moonbat musician from my “library”, That would leave me with only country, swing, and classical, left. I NEED my classic rock MAN!
BARB*Groovin’*
Darn.....I had such a soft-spot in my heart for Scarlett. And now she has to get involved with those MoveOn morons.
*sigh*
Hear that sound, Bruce Springsteen? It’s your CDs being crunched under the rear wheels of my American-made, gas-guzzling SUV and scattered next to the remains of Natelie ("The Whore of Babylon") Maines. “Born In The USA,” my ass!
Oh, don’t get me wrong. I do not advocate trashing your music library because someone pisses you off. I have music by many of these moonbats. I will not destroy them (but I may not listen to them as much.)
However, I will not BUY ANY MORE of their stuff.
I read that (and this deeply pains me) Jimmy Buffet performed at a $25,000 a plate fundraiser for Kerry & his rich buddies up in Taxachuetts.
Jimmy how could you? There’s not a whole lot of music I like anymore, this puts a seriuos dent in that number.
Hell I seriously considerd voteing for him for President the year he ran. Am I glad I didn’t. Asshole…
Come on, Ric! I’ve known this twit to be a flaming liberal for years. I guess not all is lost, though. Just keep listening to whatever music of his you have but no longer buy anything he sells, do not patronize any of his establishments, do not go to his concerts.
You can, however, “borrow” his music over the internet if you like! BWAH HA HA!
I DO put my money where my mouth (and beliefs) are, and do NOT patronize any of these morons. To those who lament the lack of choice these days, there is a vast wealth of good music (try branching out a bit) such as good old 1930’s - 1940’s big band music, real classic stuff which relaxes you, blues such as BB King, good classic jazz. With movies, the Duke, John Wayne, is tops in my book, but there are a lot of good pre-1990’s stuff out there. I use the 90’s as a dividing line, since this PC shit began to figure in much more (Wasn’t it Samuel Goldwyn who said, if you want to send a message, go to Western Union??). There are a lot of good classic works out there. TV - rarely watch it. I am building up a DVD collection of classic films, and - TA-TA!!!!! - I read good books. I just don’t miss the cesspool that currently comprises contemporary “culture”....
Semper Fi!
If all else fails, there’s Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven, Bach, Wagner, Brahms, Tchaikowsky, Haydn, Schubert, Strauss, Liszt, Faure, etc.
Vilmar,
Tem razao, meu irmao!!!
