The Sounds Of War

 

1. Cool! My parents were inactive members of a “confederate” unit-my father was begining his final illness. When the BOY was’bout 7 we took him to the civil war days at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union Il.
   There was a “federal recruiter” there looking for volunteers. Alex got drafted-along with a few little girls.hee-hee

   Btw-I’m considering becoming a re-enactor myself. There were women that passed themselves off as men to serve and with my shorter hair and sturdy athletic build that might be just the part for me
