I’m all for it, Vilmar, but until President Bush stops kissing Vicente Fox’s ass and the federal government gets SERIOUS about enforcing our borders and immigration policies, nothing is going to change. When blatant violations such as this are occurring, people are making money from it, and, in this case, trying to gain votes.
Like it or not, the Mexicans have on average 3 children to every 1 gringo born. This will change the voting base of the US in 2 to 3 generations, and that is why both the Dems and Reps are courting them now.
Having just moved from San Diego where I lived for the last 12 years, I can tell you first hand about the serious problems we have with the border, and I really don’t think the rest of the country is aware of just how bad it is. How serious can we be about the war on terror when there are 4000 illegals coming across the border *every day* between California and Texas? How serious can we be about the war on terror when the Border Patrol is told to *not* do its job? Homeland Security
...indeed!
Simplicity always seems to be the correct approach....1 barrel of oil per illegal per day from Mexico...20,000,000 barrels per day sounds about the right compensation to start with....for each child born illegally within the US boundary a surcharge of 3 barrels per day shall apply until death of such child.
