Wake up BMEWsers. We should mourn the loss of not only the patriarch but recently the matriarch of the CLAN.Um, to clarify,the Kennedy Clan,not them white robed guys.Anyway, It behooves me to say that without this clown screwing up at chapa whatever we might not have had Mr Reagen bless us with 8 long mostly glorious years in the WH. So say a prayer for Eddy even if you dont mean it. Its only fair considering what he did for us on that fateful day.
Honestly, I’m mixed about this. I for one was not one of the people to exmphasize the Chappaquiddick case because- however tragic it might have been- a good case could be made for attributing his inaction to shock or surprise rather than to malice, and I do not like tossing darts on subjects that might rebound at me.
But infinitely more damning is his open collusion with an enemy power against a domestic political opponent. Prescott Bush is rightfully dammed for his collusion with American Fascists and the Third Reich, so why is Ted Kennedy not damned as well for his treasonous dealings with the Soviet Union?
In the end, that and the other countless things he did mean that I cannot and will not mourn him. I offer his family- who are innocent of his crimes and are largely merely Liberals- and friends condolence for their loss, but I can wish Ted himself only to hell.
Perhaps when he is down there, he will realize how epically he betrayed the legacy of his eldest brother and will repent.
One can only hope.
