  1. I think we should stay out of Syria. Let them settle things themselves.

OTOH, perhaps if we gave some simple military assistance - AKs, ammo, grenades, RPGs, gas masks - to the “rebels”, they’d have just enough strength to continue to fight the government to a standstill. No winners, no losers, just more casualties.

But put our soldiers there? No effin way. Use our drones? No effin way. Run another air campaign like O did in Libya? No ... well, do it once, maybe twice. Two large JDAM attacks at night could target a couple hundred government tanks, planes, cannons, and ammo dumps. Enough to equalize things a bit more. At this point in time we could probably even get Russian, Chinese, or NorK munitions to drop on them, which would add plausible deniablity.

  2. NO NO NO. Just send the toys to Isreal and let them use as needed. They are the actual folks who do have a dog in this hunt after all.

  3. So, we’ve track those elusive people called ‘they, them, etc’. They’re activists. Doesn’t help… still no names or faces associated with the also-elusive ‘activists’.
