  1. I remember just after JFK was elected there was this joke:
Didja hear? Pres. Eisenhower injured himself at the White House—he tripped over the Pope’s suitcase.

You can be, if he was a liberal, Catholic would be no problem at all.

  2. There’s a difference between saying ‘Yeah I’m a Catholic’ and being a TRUE one *coughJohnKerryonabortioncough*

  3. YES. Plenty of them out there.
“I’m a Catholic, but I don’t let it interfere with anything I want to do.”

  4. I was the lone Jew in a Catholic youth choir in the late 1980’s-there was one baptist too.
I was treated wonderfully by everyone.
In fact the RC’s were kinder to me than many of my own-then-faith(my parents were considered to be anti-semitic and hateful because they were outspoken Republicans).
    So there’s 5 catholics.
    So what.

  5. No big deal for me. Wait till the liberal Catholics in the Senate get hold of him though ... Kerry and Kennedy come immediately to mind. I’m not familiar enough with the others. In the end it won’t make any difference.
