THE NEW FRENCH CAR LAW ….  couldn’t make this up although the story isn’t brand new.

  1. Actually, if you look at this new law as protecting other drivers from hitting a disabled car or its’ driver, it makes sense. It’s not like helmet laws that force a person to be “safe” - this law actually could protect others from a stupid person standing in the lane while contemplating his unlit broken French car.

As for the cigarette pack pictures - I see a small market opportunity for cigarette pack holders that a smoker could cover up the offending picture with - possibly carrying the original cigarette pack logo and design - something like the foam beer can caddies you see.

  2. The thing is with the French police if they pulled over a fellow grenouille they would probably wave their finger at him and send him on his way. If however it was a Brit he would be “frog” marched (sorry couldn’t resist) to the nearest hole in the wall (atm). They take a particular delight in catching Brits speeding on the way back to the UK via Calais.

  3. What Chuck said. Get one, throw it in the trunk, you’re good to go.
As for LyndonB, try Cap d’ Agde. Interesting place that was! Google it if you don’t know it.
