  1. Skipper, I’m SO sorry for yours & your friends losses .................. I’m trying to get through to the Red Cross, to check on family members of young Marines stationed on Okinawa .................... can’t get through on the family members’ cellphones {personally, I wonder when they last had an opportunity to charge the batteries} - the young Marines are WORRIED, and finding myself unable to cut red tape {or busy signals} is frustrating as hell ..........................

  2. Will try recruiters tomorrow - our daughter is in contact with the young Marines on Oki - THEY’RE scared/worried for their families ................... Red Cross # I called today, for DC Hdqtrs ..................... they keep you on the line withcanned messages, then tell you to call later ..................... local Red Cross # is constantly ‘fast-busy’ {which means to me that they just have the phone off the hook} .......................... thank you for the alternative numbers & suggestions ................. BTW, LOVE the “prairie dog with attitude”!

  3. Your description of your drive to work brought back memories of when I was in Biloxi. I went to tech school at Keesler AFB (1988 & 1990). Seems like we have the same memories of the area. It also sounds like, at least pre-hurricane, the Biloxi area hadn’t changed much. The Gulf Coast sure charmed this damn yankee. Absolutley tragic whats happened.
