"Ethnic Cleansing”? What the hell? They aren’t being persecuted because they are Irish, they are facing the consequences of building in an unauthorized area with no permits or permissions of any kind. I also challenge the idea that they are “travelers” They are not Romany and from the looks of Dale Farm, it would look like a lot of them live in permanent homes that happen to have a trailer in the driveway. If that is a traveler, then at least 4 of my neighbors can be classified as such.
They are getting what they deserve and playing con games to get support from a bunch of gullible liberal busybodies who jump into any fray without doing any research.

Unfortunately, the Irish people and the Irish government pander to the Traveller’s every whim because they endowed by the Catholic Church ethos of Martyrdom and adoration of the “down-trodden”....Travellers down-trodden my arse. Most have mansions in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick, huge, late model Land Rovers, and spend 6-figure amounts on their children’s weddings. Google Rathkeale Limerick and see the facts.
The Irish people honestly believe the Travellers are ignorant and simple minded. That’s as far from the truth as you can get. The Travellers can and do run circles around the general populace.
Yes, it’s their culture to be liars and thieves, however God didn’t create them that way. The Church and its policies did the trick.
My daughter and I have gone around on this - she says that they ‘have’ to lie because everyone around them won’t deal with them - I point out that no one ‘has’ to lie and that everyone around them won’t deal with them because they lie. These cons and scum created the very problem that they are whining about.
And like most criminals caught in the act - they attempt to blame their victims.
Sadly the damn liberals are enabling it to keep happening - again and again. The World over.
