The Lieberman Conspiracy
The last major political party to become extinct were the Whigs back in the late 1850s; they were a party which supported the supremacy of Congress over the Executive Branch (much like today’s Democrats do), and they also supported the continuance of slavery in the South.
I believe we are seeing such a shakeup in the political landscape, something which happens only once in our lifetimes.I would prefer the two party system. Currently, that is impossible because Democrats have become so lunatic that nobody could save that bunch of bozos. Screaming Howard Dean is like a Political Party’s Suicide bomber, exactly like Shek Yurbouti or a typical middle eastern sand monkey.
Al Gore, then John Kerry, Hillary next?
Republicans couldn’t get that lucky.If Hillary tries to join the Republican Party, like rats off a Sinking Democratc Ship, I’m voting - NO. :rulez:

Lieberman is in trouble, I saw mention of the ex-governer Weicker ( piss on his name) is going to run against Lieberman. I say piss on his name because Weicker is responsible for the states Income Tax which was supposed to be repealed but now never will, even with the millions in Indian Casinos slot machine profits! Weicker is a scumbag and royally screwed up the state. Roland a republican replaced him and then allowed himself to take kickbacks from state contractors (those who paved all the highways, etc.) and got himself impeached and then imprisoned. The current governor is doing a good job cleaning house but she’s fighting breast cancer. Meanwhile we have to deal with the likes of Chris Dodd, etc., etc., etc. I tried to vote his sorry ass out of office but republicans are sorely outnumbered. Politically, Connecticut sucks monkey balls. But society wise, it’s not nearly as blue as one would think. We are nowhere near as bad as NY or Massachusetts. It seems that Fairfield county (right on the border of NYC) is the most liberal portion of the state. Connecticut is the state that says it’s OK to use eminent domain to take your shoreline home and those of your neighbors then give the land to a developer to build a hotel and convention complex in the name of economics and taxes. At the same time we are one of the richest states and also one of the most expensive (again due to Fairfield County). I’ve worked in Fairfield County and it’s a true case of culture shock. Imagine BMW and Mercedes taxis and full service gas stations. Also some of the most beautiful babes I have ever seen!

I gave Joe’s office a call this morning with a big “atta boy"- As a resident of CT I don’t always agree with Joe on a few issues but by and large respect the man.
Weicker is an idiot who should be strung up by his balls, his no income taxt pledge lasted all of 5 minutes once he was sworn into office.

fascinating isn’t it. the war in vietnam started the destruction of the party of FDR and JFK because of trying to accomadate extemists and the war in Iraq may close the coffin lid.
