  1. Even Mitch “I sold my mother for an election” McConnell will never sign on to this junk so it’s MOOT.
Let Captain FAIL preen all he wants but it aint gonna happen although I’m sure the EPA will fuck things up as best they can in the lawless way they operate.

  2. No president should be allowed to make a law last past his term of office.

Hell, our biggest problem is that all of the necessary laws have been made already.  But lawmakers don’t get paid for not making laws...so they keep inventing new and more insane laws just to keep busy and show how good they are making the world for us.

I have an idea...ALL LAWS should have a moritorium.  New laws have to be renewed 2 years after it was enacted, and then 5 years after that for the next 20. If it survives, that, then every 40 years after that.  That way, any law worth passing, is worth continued maintenance as well.  And no BS laws like obamacare that gets passed the moment all is aligned properly.  It has to survive continued scrutiny and be maintained.  That way, lawmakers are kept busy, and can not meddle into too much trouble for We The People.  Stupid laws that do get passed have to be kept up or they go away, which would keep the law books thin.  And only the good laws remain and lawmakers busy.  As they say, an idle mind is the devil’s playground.  And idle lawmakers...well, you see what they do.

Sounds fine to me.  Or is this a stupid suggestion?

  3. no, i think it’s great. It would also absorb 80% of lawmaker’s time, leaving them much less opportunity to screw things up with new laws.

Given, a small set of laws should be eternal. Say, oh, about 10 commandments or so.
