  1. "The piece of theatre that concluded in London on Thursday was one of the great confidence tricks of our lifetimes. “

As I said before..... anyone remember what the word “con” in “con man” stands for? We are indeed suffering a “crisis of confidence”, Obama and Pelosi have that much right at least.

  2. Amity Shlaes wrote a book about the Depression from the conservative POV: The Forgotten Man.

Even leftists admit that FDR’s Subsistence Homesteads Program was a boondoggle failure:

  3. Roosavelt was a socialist ass, sure he lined the pockets of a few, left the farmers to wither and the banks to grab their farms for a pittance (and by and large convinced the farmers they were lucky) then spent vast sums on infrastructure that employed some, few thatreally needed though. One bit of luck for him was roads (and WW2) after the war the roads did help Americas prosperity but that was just dumb luck. What all decent countries need is a safety net, make sure when things get bad there is a roof, warmth and food for the temporary poor, not money for but vouchers. Roosevelts introverted policies spread the resession into a global depression, at least he genuinely won the job unlike this joker who stole it and is making the same crap judgements. God help us all.
The socialist fuckwits in Ontario (the place that uses water to generate power to the extent that all references to power use the term “hydro” want windmills?????
