  1. The las place I lived in near London was Hersham in Surrey, with a considerable “romany” contingent, I knew quite a few, compared to the local “english” they were hard working but took little or no notice of the law, they had a good knowledge of it and used it when, and only when it was to their advantage. They had no tolerance for “travelers” (this was usually most uncomfortable for said parasites) when I knew them they would not touch national assistance on principle. They would not need these handouts of charity sites from the gov. This is just part of the plan, a wedge to seperate decent folk from the fruit of their hard work, as is right to roam and stealing the banks. The Italians have the right idea about nomadic thieves. I hope and pray there enough good people with balls to save England, if you find enough I might come back and help.

  2. We have travellers out here in southern California. Irish for the most part, at least that’s how they’re identified. In folklore most often identified as the earliest of the Irish, before the Tuatha and the Formorians came along. Villains and ne’er do wells. Bounders and braggarts, sneak thieves and muggers.

Then we have the Romany. Our Romany have homes, live in quiet neighborhoods with green lawns, and commute to and from work. It is their goal to assimilate fast enough for steel to melt from the friction. A better life for themselves and their children means becoming American, so they are becoming American. Maybe we could teach you blighters something about quick, effective assimilation.

  3. I don’t believe it. The U.S. is ahead of Britain in this respect. Bill Clinton’s Secretary of Housing and Urban Development foisted this same sort of scheme on us in the 90s. We don’t really have a ‘traveller’ problem, but they did let all the patients out of the mental hospitals during that time and set them up in group homes scattered around middle and upper income neighborhoods. Not two blocks away is a 28 unit apartment building that was bought specifically to house people who should be locked away for their, and our, safety.

When our neighborhood association protested, we were informed that those who opposed this might find themselves subjects of IRS audits, and other unspecified investigations.

It’s now expanded to being a half-way house for released felons, who because of their records, can’t get housing anywhere else. Admittedly, individually they don’t stay long because they don’t pay even their subsidized rent, but they stay long enough to create havoc in our once family-friendly neighborhood.

  4. Just a bit of a question:  Are the Travelers truly a separate race or are they only bound by teaching and tradition?  In Britain, does a Jew have the right not to rent to a Nazi?  Politics and lifestyle are choices, your race is by birth.  If it’s simply a matter of how the Travelers insist on living (apparently a criminal lifestyle), I’m not sure that opposing them is truly racist, nor necessarily illegal.

  5. Dr Jeff it’s quite complicated. The actual origins of the Romany gypsy are disputed but are believed to have originally come from India. Indeed if you were to park yourself in Dover at about 04:30 most days you would see bus loads of Romanian, Czech, Slovak etc. Gypsies turning up for their cut of Britain’s welfare and they are olive skinned and quite recognisable as Roma.

However the gypsies in this story are more likely originally from Ireland. They may have had Roma origins but most of them are either Irish or British and the “Roma” characteristic skin colour has become diluted. However they still claim to be a distinctive culture and race. The government panders to this and they essentially live outside the law.

I have worked with gypsies. Many years ago we used to load trucks with potatoes which were picked by gangs of gypsies. They would move around depending on what crop was in season. They worked hard but they also illegally collected welfare. Every so often a government official would turn up to check names and they would all scatter. These people lived on a fixed site outside of the local town.

The more undesirable ones have big 4x4’s to tow their caravans which usually have no tax or insurance paid. The police are often scared to go into gypsy camps because they also tend to hold illegal firearms and are often violent. I’m not saying all gypsies are thieves but many of them have scant regard for the law and quite honestly most people despise them. They park up in fields or laybys and within a few days leave and leave behind all their waste. A lot of them are fly by night builders who con old people into unnecessary and frequently shoddy building work.

You may also recall the story of the farmer Tony Martin who shot and killed a burglar some years ago. The people who broke into his home were gypsies.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/720199.stm

One of the other scumbags involved even had the cheek to sue Tony Martin.

Brendan Fearon, whom Martin wounded in the leg, was released from prison just days before Martin. Fearon was given a discharge after serving just six of his most recent 18-month sentence for dealing heroin. Martin was refused early parole on the grounds that he had not shown remorse for what he had done and could be a danger to society. Fearon had some 34 convictions when he drove 90 km to rob Martin, but a judge gave him permission in June to use tax-funded legal aid to sue Martin for $24,000 because the gunshot wounds had affected his sex life, earning ability and enjoyment of martial arts.

Though I beleive he was exposed as a fraud some time later. Not all gypsies are scumbags but unfortunately too many are and all the time the government hands out welfare to these people they will perpetuate their lifestyle.

  6. Thanks Lyndon,
I was hoping you’d catch this.

There are areas here outside Winchester that are green fields and on a rise overlooking the most beautiful scenic country imaginable. Well no surprise to you they wanted to set up camp there and the powers that be were quicker then usual and dug huge trenches thus making it impossible to haul in their campers and cars and such other machinery as needed.

There are large piles of chalk all around the trenches.  It’s been awhile sice we drove by that area so I have no idea if the trenches are still there.

Last year a large plot of land was bought in the next village to build not one but two super markets. Also, new offices for the medical center.  A chain link fence was put all around the perimeter and within days a small group of ‘travelers’ were on site and they even had the nerve to post a sign, a rather large well printed one, informing the public that they were there and any comments or offensive gestures or threats and hell I can not remember what else, would be met by legal action.

Here the bastards were on land that wasn’t even theirs and here they were acting like they had every right to it.

A month later they were gone as quietly as they came and I can’t help but wonder if Waitrose and Asda didn’t buy em out.

  7. Digging a small trench is a good ploy to deter “shed draggers” unfortunately a lot of them have access to backhoes so they can often fill them in. I don’t have a problem with people who want to live an alternative lifestyle. What i object to is funding it.

If people wish to move from place to place fine. As long as they pay rent on the property they invade, and provided the landlord finds it acceptable then good luck to them. The problem is they camp illegally, live on welfare or at least subsidise their lifestyle on welfare and live an essentially lawless lifestyle.

However they are hypocrites and rush to the law whenever it suits them. Oh amd Peiper if you spot swarthy oiks in your local town centre flogging “the Big Issue” chances are they are gypsies from Romania or Bulgaria. In principal they are not allowed to work in Britain but as the EU prevents Britain from excluding “europeans” they are free to come to the UK and tap into the increasingly depleted welfare pot.
