  1. The best line of this type goes:

When we were kids to get to school we had to walk 20 miles through the snow up hill both ways!!

  2. Had to chuckle because it was absolutely the truth.........My siblings & I walked everyday to school - 2 miles........We did not have a car until I was 10 years old & we went to Catholic School - never mind that the public school was right down the street from where we lived.............nope -that’s not good enough - trudge through snow, sleet & rain to the nuns............

  3. The short way was only a mile for me, one way. If I wanted to walk to or from with my friends it was a bit farther.

This was in Buffalo and there were damn few snow days. It took 20” (or more) of snow to get a snow day, a foot was not enough. Now I see schools close here in Ohio for rain. rolleyes

  4. I’ve seen schools around here close just because it just might snow.

Thyen there are the so-called “professional days” off that occur every month or two.

Thank the NEA, the unions, and the lawyers for that one…

And now, school buses do door to door pickups / deliveries. Big Yellow taxi, and traffic nightmare… mad
