2. Drew, You can get a new machine with wifi already installed for $200.  This includes a DVD burner.  Mine just happened to be a dell.  I would not bother to wait for windbloze 8, it is not very stable in our beta testing at work, and will probably become the next vista.

3. $200? I’ll have to look into that. I don’t need a new monitor, but a better graphics card couldn’t hurt. This one is OEM from 1999, so it can’t run HD videos.
