OK, I’ve already sounded off on the First Amendment, but here I have to ask a question. If in France, in Britain and I suppose in other countries, bad mouthing Moslems and Scientologists is illegal, what about the rantings of the lunatic, hate filled Imams? How many times are the allowed to call Jews pigs and apes? How many times are they allowed to preach the necessity of religious war against anyone who isn’t a Moslem? How many times are they allowed to insist that only their interpretation of reality can be honored and that everyone else’s is offensive?
I don’t like the idea of censorship in any way, shape or form, but when someone is actively encouraging violence, especially when it’s violence against me, I want them stopped. Holding sick opinions is one thing, turning that sickness into action is quite different.
