  1. No kidding.  I think I’m going to go to the windoze update screen and try to find some way to refuse that “upgrade"…

Let us know when FF 2 is out tho, I will want to update then I’m sure…

  2. Yes we have been running FF for a while and now my hubby is not liking the rumblings re: Windows Vista, visa, vision or whatever the heck it’s called. He does not like that phone home, register/re-register and only on one computer stuff at all.

I always said that the prophecy in ‘The Net’ was going to come to pass - and now it seems to be here.

Where are those damn liberal/aclu screeders when it comes to this type of ‘invasion’ of our privacy? Heck no, that is just a harmless ‘tracking’ of interests and protection from the bad pirateers.

Let’s all punish everyone and create a nanny state for the sins of the few.

  4. I never use IE, ‘cept to grab the latest hole patch from MS, which has caused two nasty problems in as many days. I had to wipe and load this machine, twice, thanks to that.
Anyway it’s FF for me just like always.

Hey Skipper, think there will ever be a Linux build that is standard or will the “everything for free” crowd keep on dreaming up new reasons to change the OS every other day? That is the only reason I haven’t trashed Winders all together.

  5. So the latest mutt has crawled out of Bill Gates’s kennel?  No thanx, not for me.  It probably won’t work on 98 anyway, and I don’t give a tinker’s damn about anything newer, for what I have is adequate for my purposes.

Bulldog, has your French girlfriend been playing games again?  A French flag avatar, no less?  wink

As for Big Brother snooping the Net, we all should have known long ago that this would come.  They have the excuse of terrorists now, but if they did not have it, they would have found another excuse.  C’est la guerre

(Cue Gallic shrug, both palms up)

  6. I’ve used IE-7 for 3 days, now.  It works.

It did lose my “links”, but I found them in a folder they
    moved in with the “Favorites”.

    All is well.  cheese

  8. I know this will come as a HUGE shock to everyone, but it only took 24 hours before a vulnerability was found in IE7.  Like I said....shocking.

    Link to da story...
