I thought that was a bloody good obituary!
Even the Nazis weren’t immune to collecting actual *heroes*. In truth, the more I study up on Hermann Goering, the more he seems a very remarkable man. The US was generating heroes at the same time the US government was running the MK Ultra program, too. Bad systems can still attract good pople.
Googled for her and found this:
At the age of 65, the year before she died, she set a new women’s distance record in a glider. Hanna died of a massive heart attack in 1979 at age 67. As she wished, she was buried near her family in Salzburg, Austria.
So any obits would have to date back to 1979. She was undoubtedly a darling of the Nazi party, and she felt loyalty because they let her indulge her passion for flying. I would her deluded but not intrinsically evil.
