  1. Back in the 60’s one of our Catholic parrish members ran in the Republican Party primary against a fascist currently holding office—i.e. the sort of man who would advocate the death penalty for women who have abortions.

Our parrish Nun, who grew up in Chicago, required several minutes to spit out the word “R-R-R-Republican” when asked which primary she wished to vote in.  I was in line behind another “Republican”—a black guy wearing a hard hat who appeared, somehow, to blush.

  2. Did the nun have to do penance for such gross and blasphemous heresy, Oink?  If so, what was it?

    LOL

  3. For her, that was a penance.

She once said that wonderful Mayor Daley Sr. went to Mass every morning.  Yep, and so did Generalissimo Franco.

  4. I suppose they both had a great deal to go for, Oink.  Interesting that you should compare the two.  How much had they in common?

  5. I guess the voter in the decontamination suit is “purple”...definitely not Canadian red, eh.

  6. Tann: The ability not to let the fundamentals of their apparently devout faith interfere with doing whatever they wished.

  7. Oy, Canada! I heartily recommend this site for side busting parodies of liberal (Canadian) smear ads:
