The Final Blow
I think that Imus is generally liberal.
I have listened to Imus sometimes when I have a minor case of insomnia. I sometimes wake up and can’t get back to sleep. I suspect that he will get another radio show somewhere, if he wants one.
What he said was bombastic and wrong. Calling them “Nappy Headed Whores” was just standard shock jock lingo. They actually seem like some pretty decent young ladies. Imus should have thought before he mouthed off. He is the cause of his own problems. His employers have every right to fire him over this if they so desire.
On the bright side, calling someone a “Dirty Messcan” still seems to be OK at the moment.
Jackson and Shaprton have absolutely no business being involved with this Imus thing. What needed to happened is that the fathers of these girls should have gone to Imus’s studio and had a private meeting with him; alone, just him and the fathers. I seriously doubt Imus would have been doing any talking to anyone afterwards. Their was a day when fathers, not race baiter’s, took care of jerks who unjustly called their daughters whores.
Never mind about whether or not Jackson or Sharpton (or Bozo the Clown or Captain Kirk) are for or against what Imus has said. He deserves what he has gotten in this instance. Shooting off your mouth has consequences…
Imus deserved to be slammed. But did he deserve to be fired for something stupid he said (in a career long list of stupid things)? I don’t know. But the key issue for me is that now we have Sharpton sitting there like Madame LeFarge looking for the next head to go on the block. They are coming after us next.

IMHO ... The “irreverend” Sharpton & Jackson are not the issue. They are simply like the vultures that feed on dead and stinking carcasses.
We now have an amendment to the Second Amendment of our “living” Constitution, which reads something like ...
“The terms nigga, nappy headed ho, or any other demeaning, or thought to be demeaning phrase, aimed at humanity, is here-by strictly forbidden to be used by any, and all, white folks.
Nothing in this amendment, to the amendment, shall be construed as to prohibit the black race from using these words, as long as they are race baiters, rappers, or hip hop artists, and are making a substantial living for themselves and white corporate America.”

The worse consequence of this whole fiasco is that Shaprton’s power base has greatly increased. He’s going to take credit for Imus loosing his sponsors and getting fired. You’re going to see this clown more in the forefront of politics than ever as Democrat candidates will be prostrating themselves before him.
So let the loony left bow to him. he will be a problem, not a solution for them. Man I love it when liberal clowns eat each other.
Except that these lunatics, ‘living’ Constitution, hypocrits are moving more and more to re-instituting the ‘Fairness’ (what a load of crap) Doctrine and moving toward control of public speech. That is in direct violation of the First Amendment - and as voters and Americans we must stand up to their cleverly named and worded destructive, undermining and socialist bills.
And while I rarely have listened to Imus - never liked it at all - he has a right in America to be stupid and there were viable options to resolve this situation that did not attack outright the First Amendment. Sharpton, Jackson et al - get a pass because they are the ‘eternal victims’ of hateful white racists. Except I don’t know any real white racists anymore (and no the NeoNazis don’t count, they are just the white side of the Sharpton/Jackson coin - i.e. race baiters) and use the laws - to fight those you find stupid or offensive. Not continue the race baiting, victimization techniques that just keep perpeting the very things that are keep minorities down and hate alive. And once again, violate the Constitution and divide America. What a win. . .no wonder the dems love these guys. Keep the population stupid, hatefilled and at each other’s throats with lies, distortions, hypocrisy, and race baiting. Silly me, to think that America in 2007 had progressed way beyond that crap.
I think that Imus should sue for violation of his civil rights - make a point to these two faced, hypocritical bigots.
And now that they have gone after Imus and won - who is next and will there be any defense anymore? Does this not frighten anyone with a real thought, a real belief and a real grasp of what makes America great?
Because it does terrify me.
Imus, yeah, he said something dumb and insulting. That puts him on a long list of people who say dumb and insulting things, including the Reverends Sharpton and Jackson.
I’m just a skinny, blue eyed white boy - that makes me fair game for just about any kind of slur someone wants to throw. Oh yeah, according to the Rev. Jackson, I’m a Hymie too. Guess that’s ok because everyone knows that Jews run everything - besides, they’re really white anyway. (excuse me while I retch for a bit) Anyone who thinks I will ever forgive Jesse Jackson for his racial and religious bigotry doesn’t know me very well.
If I don’t want to go to bed with another man, I’m not considered heterosexual, I’m called homophobic.
If I smile at a pretty lady, I’m not being polite, I’m called a sexual predator.
If I’m charged with enforcing a rule at my condo, I’m a racist for busting a black guy who violated that rule. (Don’t mind that I had no idea of his gender, age, religion or race before he made the charge - all I did was ticket an illegally parked car, then again maybe only black guys drive red Chevys. This incident really did happen and I’m still pissed about it.)It’s all a bunch of crap. In my life, dealing with other people’s racial, sexual and religious bigotry is a pain in the butt. I just don’t have time for it, but it’s not always my choice.
I’ve no love for Sharpton and Jackson anymore than I have love for the KKK. They’re all a bunch of bigoted a**holes that are polluting my country.

While I have a dim view of shock jocks, I have a dimmer view of double standards. Either “Nappy-headed hoes” is unacceptable to be broadcast(as is my thought, more for the “hoes” part) or it’s okay; none of this bull over the race of who uttered it. As for ‘Reverend’ Sharpton, remember John 8:7?
And personally, I think the DJ in Pennsylvania was stupid for repeating a comment that already was catching flak nationwide, let alone making it part of a contest.
