Islamism transcends nationalism. Or are we looking at mercenaries here? I hope this story has a follow up; I want to know if these passports were legitimate. If they were I want to know if they were issued to naturalized or native born citizens.
The other day I read that several of these fighters captured at the Kenyan border had Canadian and Eritrean passports too.
It doesn’t matter if these guys were 1 in 10 million. This should be a major call to all countries to WAKE THE F*@K UP !!
I don’t know how many years I’ve been saying very much the same thing. Now, to get those who can do it to do it.
This is the sort of news that saddens me. It saddens me that limiting the rights of Moslems and Moslem sympathizers, up to and including internment, deportation and execution, will likely be necessary. If I could imagine any milder program that could be successful, I would advocate it. If anyone has an idea for a potentially successful program that does not include these dire actions, I would like to hear it. However, absent a viable program that does not include such action, let’s do it and get it done. Later, we will have to work on repairing the damage to our society.
Skipper this doesn’t surprise me in the least. Some time ago I had some dealings with US immigration officials. I won’t go into the specifics but the point they were making was anyone can get a British passport these days. The BBC recently published some figures that admitted (IIRC) that there were 20,000 Somalis officially in Britain (it may have been 40,000) at the last census. Unofficially there are believed to be 250,000. Many of them originally travelled to Holland illegally where the Dutch government constrained by the European fetish for “human rights” were unable to deport them. Their novel solution was to give them a Dutch passport. Not that they are all jihad wanabees but sadly a lot of them are. The recent case where a policewoman was shot and one of the chief suspects escaped wearing a body bag (burka or whatever they call it) no one would dare ask the clown to lift the veil because we have become cowed by the politically correct bastards that have brought about a state of fear where we dare not offend these people.
To a degree I go along with Dr. Jeff on this. The damage the liberals have done to my country will take years to repair and to be honest I doubt that it can be sorted out now without bloodshed. When you look at the demographics the numbers don’t look favourable. Most for want of a better word “anglo” people have one or two kids. Most Somalis for example have four or more. I ran across one recently who had ten and this may shock you to learn they were all unemployed and living on state handouts. Dr. Jeff’s solution is probably a bit more radical than what I would have in mind. I think we should consider a system of repatriation of these people to their country of origin. It sounds dreadful but I feel their way of life is incompatible with ours and one of us is going to have to give way.
Drew I would hazard a guess that they were genuine passports. From my experience with dealing with these people they tend to take advantage of a countries weakness and gullibility by claiming “asylum” and once they have status they pretty much do as they please including passing themselves off in other countries with a new identity and a new asylum claim. Given that records of births in countries like Somalia are pretty much non existant it is all to easy. One more reason for fingerprint checks on every last one of them in my view.
My youngest daughter was born in Germany in 1988 - we were US Military stationed there, long before her birth, the US/FRG agreed to take duel citizenship and even the option of waiting until 18th birthday to decide country of citizenship, off the table. Now that decision has to be made at birth. What is so damn hard about the concept? You want to immigrate - fine, do it legally, stand in line, do the work/study/papers to become a legal citizenship of the new country. And you are no longer a citizen of the country you were born in.
I am sick of this bending, twisting and distortion of rules/laws/ and just plain common sense. It will be the death of us all, if the sane, rational people don’t stand up and say enough.
As far as CAIR and ACLU - do unto them as they do onto us - charge them, take them to court and make those members/situations that are illegal public knowledge and proven to be anti-American.
Maybe when we hold the criminal/terrorists/illegal element accountable, the good ones will stand up. Then again, I just might be fooling myself and they all are intentioned on taking over/destroying America and it will come down to a real War here in the ole USofA.
Lyndon, please, those actions are not my preferred solution. I see them as the consequence of current events as they are unfolding. The worst damage to our society won’t come from the liberals and their nonsense. It will come when a society that has religious and political diversity bone deep in its laws and its spirit must practice very serious religious bigotry in order to save itself from the Islamists. I make no bones about my bias against Moslems, but even I don’t want to see them interned and slaughtered.

Spot-bloody-on Mate! Thats why we have the Second Amendment, and you HAD the Magna Carta and your version of the Bill Of Rights. Now before we absolutely, finally, MUST use these options, we must try everything humanly possible to rectify the situation peacably. But it really does almost look as though this will not be possible. And, anyone else reading this thread, THIS IS WHY THE LEFT TRIES SO HARD TO DESTROY THOSE RIGHTS!!!!!! Because they know this is the very reason for their existence! None are so blind as they who will not see! And most of them are glued to the boobtube and give it no consideration. As long as they’ve got what they need, what matters it they can’t get what they want? And, really, who in the hell is going to do anything but nod at this. Remember your oath of enlistment? REMEMBER YOUR OATH OF ENLISTMENT!

And we’ve let it happen for the sake of an easy life. Not all of us have jumped into this bucket, some of us hate this insanity. 
And again in our country, as in yours, the answer is becoming uneasily clear.

But, DAMNIT, how many of us throughout the world see this? And if we see it, how have we let it happen? Are we the dinosaurs? Are we fading into extinction? Or have we been as fooled as the mindless masses by criminal manipulation of the system we put in place? We installed a system of voting to select our representatives. And how many of us think “this isn’t what I voted for”. Any system can be tinkered, it’s so hard to believe this one hasn’t.
