OCM: Do you really think it makes a difference to the 3,000 Americans who died on September 11, 2001 whether or not there was an identifiable country behind the attack? They’re just as dead either way. I’m sure their surviving family members can explain it to you if necessary.
In all honesty, there was an identifiable enemy and still is. It is radical Islam. We are fighting an idea here, not a country and the fight is more difficult because of that. This idea is a twisted version of Islam and its only goal is our destruction. Over the course of history, bad ideas have killed more people than have bad countries.

Z I quite agree with you the NHS is crap. The numbers of cases of deaths just from MRSA is scandalous. You’re right the US has the best health care in the world for those that can afford the insurance, but I have American friends who can’t. How much better is their health care?
Anyway this is about johnny Pearl harbour sneak attack. If Hitler hadn’t declared war on the US and let’s say for example the Germans had gained control of the Royal Navy and the manpower of the British Empire. With the US ill prepared for war as she was in 1941 can you say for sure you wouldn’t be speaking German?Yes LBJ. Americans would still be speaking American today, even if we waited till England was fried by the NAZIs.
It might have taken a few more Nukes but hey, it still would have been a matter of [time] for the NAZIs, before we had them surrounded. Even with NAZI British bases.

That “unidentifiable bunch” of terorists were 19 total, and 15 of them were from Saudi Arabia.
Maybe not so “unidentifiable” after all…I’m still waiting for the USAF to air-drop ten thousand swine down upon mecca. Granted, carpet-nuking may be a wee bit extreme, but ten thousand squaling

My neighbor, 2 doors down, is a Brit. She is letting us use her home with the pool next summer for my wife’s family reunion. I’m glad she can’t vote, she loves Hillary and hates Bush. Unfortunately it seems there are far to many of my countrymen and women that suffer the affliction of being barking moonbats. Our dearly beloved (cough, choke) Prime Minister is married to such a woman.
On the voting front I was never fortunate enough to be a registered voter in the US though I did have to sign up for the potential draft when Carter was in power. (after those mad mullahs seized the US embassy)
Bob one of the worst offenders in the WOT as you and I both now is Saudi Arabia. I am not one to bang on about global warming because I think it’s hokum. However I do feel it’s prudent to conserve gas and oil if for no other reason than it puts a squeeze on the tin pot shitbags in the Middle East
