To me it is just amazing that more people will accept pretty pictures and a slick message then the actual truth.  Or for that matter question, who are these scientists that say this - are they climatolgist - are they knowledgeable and can talk credibly about the atmospheric relationships?  As described in the piece most are not, they are appointees with a purpose.  I have a sneeky suspicion that the gov’t doesn’t want to have egg on its face; so play both sides.
