  1. Re: “Darth Rove and President Bush have dangled the bait before the media for the last week as all the liberal MSM went into a feeding frenzy to bring down the Master Of Disaster.”

I must say, in reading President George W. Bush’s face, while he made statements on television about the Karl Rove “crime of the century”, I was thinking this very same thing.

The President did seem to have that special “smirk” when he responded ... that we must allow the special procecutor to complete the investigation and find out the facts.(or words to that effect)

  2. They can’t lay a glove on the guy and it’s driving them into a frenzy. Anybody looking at the discrepancies in Wilson’s various stories? Of course not.

Where was the outrage when the NYTimes blew the cover off of the CIA’s private airline? Oh, wait, nevermind.

  3. It’s been fun skimming the kookwing blogs and commentary websites today, watching heads explode trying to assimilate the latest news about “RoveGate”.  They’ve moved quickly through the “Denial” stage of grief, some are still working on “Bargaining”, a few are up to “Anger”.  By Monday they’ll be stumbling around, moaning and asking for a gun to shoot themselves they’ll be so depressed.

    I love it.

  4. Karl Rove is the Republican secret weapon!  He can single-handedly hold the libs hostage.  Now if the spineless majority could only take advantage of the diversion that he hands them........

  5. All he has to do is show up from time to time and smile pretty and they go frothing mad. It’s a hoot.

Then if the President fails to defend him at every turn you get headlines like this:

“Bush Passes on Public Endorsement of Rove”

    TOM RAUM

    Associated Press

WASHINGTON - President Bush passed up a chance Wednesday to express confidence in senior aide Karl Rove in a political fight over a news leak that exposed a CIA officer’s identity. The lack of endorsement surprised some White House officials who had been told Bush would back his embattled friend.

He also missed an opportunity to praise his wife and daughters. The whole family is coming apart under the strain, maybe? rolleyes

If they can’t get what they want they’ll make it up out of thin air. How pathetic!
