Oh well as long as I’m up late and had something anyway, I just hafta get my 1cent in this.
I have never seen anything less military looking then those floppy berets. I’ve seen some that came down on one side and reached or almost covered the ear on one side. They look damn silly. Sure, that blond looks cute even with that cover. But it still doesn’t look military. Then too take note.
There just happen to be some ppl that look really good in a beret. Now I am not saying this because he was a dear friend and idol for me but .... Barry Sadler (Sgt) looked natural wearing that thing. But even better in a German field cap. (on almost all his books)
I always had the impression that when the beret came into common use and there were (are) a few different styles, they were introduced by some fruity fellow who just loved men in berets. I never understood why the army went so overboard with those things.
I didn’t even approve the Navy change when they started to allow enlisted to wear the chief’s or officer style hat. I hate change. In some things.
Wish Barry were still around so I could ask him about this. Ain’t that funny? Had all the opportunity in the world and never asked. Just hadn’t thought about it. But back then they also were no so prevalent.
Down with the beret I say. Bring back the military look and btw, what the hell is it with camo gear all nice and starchy pressed instead of the old style traditional dress uniform?
I HATE seeing generals give a press conf. wearing that crap instead of their dress uniforms.
Standards aren’t the same anymore.
They look a lot like the bonnet I put on my buffer to polish my car.
Just like Syndrome said in the animated super hero movie, The Incredibles:
“And when everyone is special, no one’s special.”

I think Dash said that...not Syndrome.
I kinda take my INCREDIBLE’s seriously...see fourth paragraph just to make sure I am not wrong.

Although, after some further research...At the end, Syndrome says almost the same thing.
“Everyone will be special, and then no one is.” So, you are right as well.
The cool thing about the article I just read is that I am currently reading Atlas Shrugged and it is shown that the Incredibles are somewhat of a parallel story to the book.
Adorable girly bits....siiiiigh.
