  1. The only thing I fear will derail him is when people start bringing up how he attacked the Hildebeast for being a carpet bagger---which is exactly what he is doing himself now.

I’ve also heard and read his stuff.  Great guy. I wish him luck.

  2. I’ll tell you… here in Illinois we need a good strong conservative. I’m voting for him.

  3. I was AT that rally yesterday! While Dr. Keyes is a great speaker, a moral and educated person, and I’m certain a very nice guy, HE HAD NO BUSINESS BEING ASKED!!!! Jim Oberweis came in second to Ryan. He should have been offered that spot-he’s from Il too! Btw I voted for Steve Raushenberger. I STILL think he was the best from the beginning.
The Illinois GOP is a major trainwreck. Keye’s nomination was the final act of a condemned people and I’ve had enough. In Nov, I’m vote for the LIBERTARIAN candidate in the Senate race as a protest vote. Like I said, ENOUGH!

  6. I wish he’d move to the left coast so I would have a representative to vote for. He’s a good man and needs our support.

  7. He’s a carpetbagger-albeit a brilliant one. That nomination should have gone to one of the runner-ups in the primary. It should have gone to an ILLINOISAN!!

  8. Not knowing all that much about Illinois politics, I think I agree with Barb........ask an Illinosan to run.........I compare this to the Shrillary going into New York to run for Senator- she didn’t belong there!!

  9. Go Keyes!

Back in ‘96, my ‘dream ticket’ was Forbes/Keyes… (sigh...)

All I got was the Dole…

My ‘dream ticket’ in ‘08? Alan Keyes/Condi Rice…

I still don’t understand why Jack Ryan dropped out...where was the scandal? It’s not like he was ‘smoking cigars’ with an intern…
