The Borg Takeover!

 

1. This has GOT to be better than the latest version of IE!!!! Oh yeah, so glad I upgraded to that one ... all it does is tell me I have a security lapse, then it shuts down whenever I try to goto my homepage. If I take a work around and force it to go to the page I want, it interrupts me with a security query ever single time I then try to goto some other page. What a pain in the butt.

   Hee hee ... these guys have put together a pretty convincing web page. It looks so real until you start reading and hit all the EAS. I thought this part was superb:

It will automatically take the necessary steps to disable/remove and uninstall all their related executables in order to minimize interruptions, let you stay productive and keep Windows safe.
   
   Note: TakeOver will often over-react to unendorsed security software and may unexpectedly force the Windows file system into a uncontrollable shutdown / recovery phase. There is nothing you can do.

   The following are also declared as malicious and dangerous, and will therefore cause a shutdown:

   * Sophos Anti-Virus
   * Sybari Antigen
   * Trend Micro PC-cillin

   And basically all other security vendors who have recently filed lawsuits against Microsoft.
