Really once you’re north of Cape Hatteras, you can pretty much count on getting nothing but slop, at worst. The hot water that powers them starts heading out to sea at that point.
That’s not to say that the slop can’t be a major pain, but the farther north you go the less it tends to turn miles of beach communities back into expanses of bare sand.
Ive been telling people for years that Mother Nature is a tease.
