  1. Bit of bad news here. We thought we’d be seeing the end of the hot weather, what with the old high pressure system heading off to the Atlantic, but…

I’m getting a ride to the trolley station after a meeting. It’s after 9 in the evening and according to a temperature display we pass on the way, it’s 74 degrees.

This is San Diego CA we’re talking about. On a partially cloudy night. The temperature doesn’t drop as rapidly as on a clear night, but it does drop. The temperature at 9PM is 74 degrees.

It’s going to be a hot summer.

This might not happen next Summer. Then again, it might. It might be the pattern on into the future. If it is, expect changes in society. In dress, in architecture, in travel. People will start going north, to the sea, and to the mountains to escape the heat. You’re going to see more and more public nudity and near nudity. Because it will be too hot and humid to wear anything.

And be prepared to say goodbye to a white Christmas.

The good news is, tropical cruises on the Canadian Arctic. cheese

  3. Do the schools even teach science anymore?  Not from what I can see around here.  The only thing that schools seem to be able to produce these days is Demoncrats.

  4. Gee, it makes you wonder how people must’ve survived prior to the invention of the A/C.  Oh, wait!  Silly me.  There must’ve never been any HOT summers in history prior to this year.

  5. Let’s see, the Weather channel just reported:  July 1936 is still the high temperature record holder. And the summer of 1930 still remains the overal hottest summer on record.

Say goodby to “white Christmas” sounds like a plan to me! No snow is good snow…

The Klintonistas used to say “It’s the economy, stupid...”

REAL scientists should be saying “It’s the SUN, stupid...”

Neither the sun nor the climate is a steady-state phenomenon.
