  1. One dirty little secret about Haiti that may explain the U.N’s interest is that Haiti has excellent and cheap whore houses.

  2. What a poster boy for the free world, one island, one part vacation paradise one part socialist hell hole, I assume they all came from the same population 200 years ago?
The UN was never ever viable, set up from an ideal by a socialist US president and party and is only now showing its colours to the rest of the world.

  3. We need to get out of there. All the world aid is causing the local farmers to not be able to sell their crops. The regular locals who lost nothing in the quake are moving into the refugee camps because the food is better there and free too boot.

Sad thing about it is that it has been that way for ever and I really don’t see much prospect for change.

  4. Now here is a way to work down our deficit and budget woes - how about cutting our financial aid/outlay to all the foreign entities we donate to. I’m not even talking about cutting them out (although most should probably be cut out all together) - but even 2% a year - would be a start to reducing spending and helping cut the deficit.

And OCM - reminded me of another area that could be cut - without really even affecting a lot of the ‘social’ (i.e. redistribution of wealth) programs that the li(e)brals love so much - subsidies - how about cutting them, say starting at 2% a year and doubling that each budget? Gives all those subsidized time to cut and/or run and find a new way to actually work out their job, profession or whatever is subsidized.

It was finding out that the Federal Budget was subsidizing wool (from WWI) and a hydrogen plant in TX (from WWII) in the 70s - that got me into following politics. Even just putting a sunset provision (which Congress seems to have no problem what-so-ever doing on tax cuts) would be a real start.

We The People should never, ever be sending money or (normal, not disaster) aid to a socialist country - It should be against our Constitution.

  5. Is “extreme prejudice” a synonym for target practice with moving targets? 6.5x55, I love the Swedes!
